Hey Ladies!!! For the past couple of weeks my Pastor has been sharing with the congregation a message entitled, “Can’t Help Myself”. I know what just happened…you started singing that old song, didn’t you?? Well, the message is all about disciplining yourself in order to reach your goals, whatever they may be. This message came at a perfect time, the beginning of a new year, when everyone has a fresh list of goals. We always seem to start off full steam ahead, but then somewhere in March or April, we fizzle out. I’ve been wanting to trim my waistline for a while, but I didn’t want to do what’s necessary to get the results. But, today I say NO MORE!! Thus, WAISTLINE WEDNESDAYS are born. Now, we all know that diet and exercise go hand in hand…but since I’m no dietician, I will share a few exercises that I’ve researched and that are believed to be helpful for trimming the waistline. Not a fan of the gym?? Not to worry, all posted exercises can be done at home, no equipment necessary.

1. The Vacuum
Kneel on the floor in the table position, with your weight resting on your hands and knees (see photo). Keep your back flat. Inhale while pushing your belly out at the same time. Then exhale while pulling your stomach in. Hold for three seconds. Repeat.
